Become AIM Accredited
As a venue or supplier to the industry you can become AIM accredited either through AIM Direct or through the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) the owners and keepers of the standard.
To apply through either you simply need to be an organisation active in the meetings and events industry.
Why become AIM accredited
At its simplest AIM gives assurance to buyers that you are serious about the quality of your product and the service you give. In becoming AIM accredited you win a definite marketing advantage over competitors who are not.
In reality AIM is much, much more than this; it's a great staff motivator, it's a superb leadership tool, it's an excellent back office tool ensuring your processes are in place and are being effectively used and most of all it's a service improvement tool.
AIM accreditation is a health check for your business and a business tool for increasing your bottom line.
Join through the MIA
Joining through the MIA means that you can become AIM accredited and enjoy all of the benefits available from the leading trade association in the meetings industry.
AIM at Entry level is annually renewable and all venues and suppliers are subject to a verification visit.
Entry level of AIM is included in the MIA membership fee, which starts at as little as £358 plus VAT, so there are no additional fees to pay. Simply complete the standard MIA membership forms, you will find these on the MIA website at www.mia-uk.org , and start enjoying the extensive benefits available as soon as your application is accepted.
Once accredited you will be listed on www.aimaccredited.com and www.mia-uk.org as a fully accredited venue or supplier. You will receive invitations to both MIA and AIM events free of charge where possible or when a charge has to be made the MIA will ensure that this is at cost. You will receive a monthly newsletter from the MIA which will keep you updated with news of all of the MIA's extensive benefits.
As soon as you are accredited at Entry Level through the MIA you can 'AIM HIGHER'. If you want to 'AIM Higher' and achieve either Silver or Gold the MIA has a special price for you.

Join through AIM Direct
If membership of an organisation such as the MIA is not right for your organisation you can still become accredited through AIM Direct.
You will first be asked to accredit at Entry Level before being entitled to apply for 'AIM HIGHER' the Silver and Gold levels of the scheme.
AIM at Entry level is annually renewable and all venues and suppliers will be subject to a verification visit.
